BMPCA demanded guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence
All over the world there is now a great deal of public excitement and fear about artificial intelligence-AI. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence in a private television channel in India's Orissa and Bangladesh has created a sensation by reading the news exactly like a human. Some think it can be widely abused.
Bangladesh Mobile Consumers Association (BMPCA), an organization that works with consumer interests, issued a statement to the media on Monday demanding a guideline for the use of artificial intelligence. Mohiuddin Ahmed, president of the organization, said that while some in the world of technology call it a blessing, some of the ILO and technology researchers say that 300 million unskilled workers will lose their jobs due to the use of AI around the world. According to the calculations of the International Labor Organization (ILO), by the year 2041, about 5.4 million people will lose their jobs in Bangladesh's five sectors of RMG, furniture making, agricultural product processing, tourism and leather industry'.
It is said that 60 percent of workers in the labor-intensive garment industry alone will become unemployed due to artificial intelligence-based technology. In agriculture this rate will be at least 40 percent. Others think that by misusing artificial intelligence, the top local people of the state or the top politicians can create the image of a prominent citizen and cause sabotage in the country.
Citing the example of such apprehension, BMPCA claims that if an announcement is made through artificial intelligence by creating the image of the Prime Minister, or an announcement is made by creating an opposition political party to create political violence, then it is necessary to think about what kind of situation can be created in the country. Let's say again, Due to labor unrest, industrial establishments started production through artificial intelligence without prior announcement or without giving tech-friendly training to its workers. As a result, millions of workers became unemployed. But if there was a guideline that would require him to approve and enable his workers to work with artificial intelligence before starting artificial intelligence. Then through artificial intelligence on the one hand increase in production capacity as well as creating skilled tech-friendly workers. Artificial intelligence cannot be controlled by itself, it only works by receiving information and that work is controlled by humans. Therefore, in every organization and industrial plant, it is necessary to formulate a policy for the use of artificial intelligence in addition to developing skilled tech-friendly workers.
